Chasing Cars
As many of you may or may not know, the Q Awards happened recently. Among the nominees for best track were Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, I Don’t Feel Like Dancing by Scissors Sisters, Never Be Lonely by the Feeling and I bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor by the Artic Monkeys. Most Snow Patrol fans took it for granted that Chasing Cars would win.
After such tremendous success that Chasing Cars has had, in the UK and USA, this seemed logical. However, after the Q Awards were over all of them were more than surprised to find that the actual winner was Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. Of course there are much more important awards out there so this shouldn’t be a terribly blow to Snow Patrols’ fans’ ego, but could be this the start to decline of the songs popularity? Let’s hope not, as Chasing Cars is such a lovely song.
